VOLUXA – Marboleny Beta

Voluxa is a project I’ve had the privilege of following for a whole year — documenting the creation of a unique show that combines dance and original live music. A performance collectively conceived by eleven dancers and musicians from Marboleny Beta, which culminated in its premiere at the Ésdansa Festival.

The production moves away from the traditional esbart performance, creating a new piece that fuses the language of folk dance with contemporary artistic trends. Voluxa draws inspiration from the figure of witches and explores the theme of freedom of expression.

As the person in charge of the photographic coverage and the creation of several videos, my goal was to capture the essence of the project — from its conception to its premiere — with a visual approach that reflected the intensity of the choreography and the power of the live music.
